Hi Torrey, this font has features of Caslon, probably Caslon Five Swash for the initial letters and Caslon Five Italic for for rest of the letters is where I would start

Hi Jill, that looks quite like the Bookman font family, I have also seen it called Book or Bookmania

    Hi Darren

The inscription for the names and birth dates looks like Mythica but the date of death for MORTON F. is different so was probably added later

Just an update: the rest of the font seems to match very well with Nimbus Roman D

Just need to round the serifs to make it look like it was cut out on an old machine and tweak each of those g’s

    Hi ShafferX89

That looks like Caxton, either Book or Bold. The numbers look thin like Caxton Book but the name looks thick like Caxton Bold

    All the best

As an update – I found the letter shapes to match Mentor very closely, both Serif and Sans Serif versions of the font, but this seems to be an in-between version. The flared serifs don’t match either font, so it seems someone has adapted it to create some kind of Semi-serif variation.

    Thank you for your help

We use SignLab for our design software. Filtering all fonts by Hebrew characters flags up maybe 50 fonts (including many others we have installed) but none seem to match the characters precisely enough. Would you know what the most common version is called in other memorial software? The geresh and gershayim can be modified later, that’s not a problem, we just need the majority of the character shapes to match.

All corners are also rounded so I presume this has been thickened before cutting.

The letters certainly seem to be sandblasted and the centres of the stencil appear to have slipped on the D and the O of “ADORING”
